Winter Wildlife

Things have been moving apace here as we try to get the site ready for visitors this year. We are in the process of clearing and updating the chalet (3 bedroom) as well as creating a campervan pitch (only one for now) and fixing up pathways for plenty of walks and adventures within the site.

There are big plans for 2022 and hopefully we'll have the time and opportunity to see them come to fruition, but for now, we wanted to share some of the images from our new wildlife camera, currently set up on the main track above the pond in the woods. We have found lots of evidence of visitors and now we have some photos to go with it!

The first photo is of a deer (Roe) while the second is much harder to try and identify. It looks like it could be a polecat or mink. Other images caught it disappearing into a drainage pipe under the track, so we plan to set up the camera closer to that should we see it happen more regularly.

It's super exciting to start catching photos of our visitors, I have been finding their scat all over the place, including outside the chalet windows. Just another reason to plan a visit to the Bee Wild Woods!

Don't forget to like and follow us on Instagram and Facebook for more (regular) updates!
