It's really important to know the area you live if you want to provide good 'accommodation' and 'tourist' opportunitites. Doing market research is key to getting everything nailed down for visitors so they can do less time-expending research before deciding Bee Wild is the obvious and best choice for any and all your Alpine trips.
Ok, so research in this instance is basically us having a bit of a jolly and going adventuring. Quite frankly, what I'd like to spend my life doing. I understand travel writers now. They got their jobs nailed on.
Sabi has been off work for the last couple of days, and while we have still be organising our lives in Italy (residency, electricity, internet, water contracts and all that jazz) we also took the time to do a bit of exploring, purely for the purpose of helping any would be visitors get an idea of the super awesome and amazing stuff you can do when you come here, obviously.
From fantastic beasties and walks in our own private woodland to wood and clay buildings, giant benches and carved dogs, we have already discovered loads of cool things to do when you come and stay. You'd be crazy not to, right?
Being in the mountains is perfect. The summers are (still) amazingly warm, dry and beautiful for adventuring by foot or pedal bike (or car if you choose) while the winters will welcome a snowy wonderland with the ski slopes only 10 minutes away (at the closest). While I can't teach you to snowboard or ski, we will be offering bike rental (both normal and e-bike) for visitors as well as guided tours to some of the interesting sites.
Finally, for those who love home cooked food and pizza, our temporary pizza factory is up and running, with the help of my glorious assistant, we churned out 9 perfect pizzas and 1 gluten free pizza last night, enjoying the warm, Italian evening to celebrate Neil getting his residency.
Our brick BBQ doubles up as a handy home for our portable Ooni Pizza oven, while the slate worktop to the side is perfect for pizza preparation. If you want home-cooked pizza to perfection when you visit, just let us know and we'll be happy to oblige.
Got any queries or interest in coming to stay, whether you want to camp in the woods in hammocks, pitch a tent, pull up in a camper van or stay in luxury in our wooden chalet, just pop us a message at beewildnature [@] gmail.com and we'll discuss options!
In the meantime, I am going to go and explore a whole bunch more and call it 'work'. Until next time!
Sounds fabulous. Would love to come visit sometime in the future
